Hello, and welcome to my very first blog post at H. Shields ART! I’m thrilled to share this space with you and dive deeper into the vibrant world of art and creativity. As an artist, I’ve always loved exploring color, texture, and form, and I’m so excited to bring you along on this journey. I’m honored to be a point of contact for my workplace’s Craft Club, a role that inspires me to experiment with new mediums and ideas. While my primary tools are digital art, watercolor, and acrylic paints, I’m passionate about all forms of art. Each medium offers its own unique charm and challenges, and I can’t wait to explore them further, both for personal growth and to share with you here.

This blog is a creative playground where I’ll share: Experiments in Art: Insights and reflections from trying out new mediums and techniques through the Craft Club. Behind-the-Scenes: A look into my creative process, from brainstorming to finished pieces. Vending Adventures: Stories and tips from vending events and markets. Art as Therapy: How art serves as a healthy escape and a way to navigate mental health challenges. Artist Spotlights: Monthly features celebrating talented artists and linking you to their shops and socials. Community Love: Updates about our “Break Away from the Everyday” Facebook art group and artist sponsorships.

’m a lover of color and animals, and I’m drawn to capturing the beauty of the female form while challenging myself to embrace more masculine elements in my style. I create seamless patterns and PNG designs that are available on clothing and other items in my shop. For my fellow creators who sew, I’m always open to selling fabric patterns—just reach out! At H. Shields ART, I aim to inspire you to see life through a more artistic lens. I believe art is a community, not a competition. It’s about coming together to create, share, and celebrate our unique perspectives. That’s why I’m passionate about supporting other artists and giving back to the community. A portion of our profits and artwork go toward sponsoring struggling artists and supporting local art organizations.
